T he theme, The Way to Feed Your Faith, is based on the fact that faith is not just a belief; it’s your trust in God. But this trust can rise or fall depending on what you’re going through. In a world where hardships shout louder than hope, feeding your faith isn’t optional. It’s essential. And you must feed it with the right food, God’s Word.

So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.

Faith Needs Food: Feed Your Faith

Romans 10:17 says,
πŸ“– β€œSo faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.”

There is a specific diet for faith, and it’s not motivational quotes or good vibes. Faith feeds on the Word of Christ. Your faith and God’s Word are tightly connected; one cannot thrive without the other.

That’s why when you go through trials, you may notice that your faith begins to waver. The harder life gets, the more your trust in God seems to flicker. That’s when feeding your faith becomes most urgent.

Reality Will Challenge Your Faith

Your circumstances often compete for influence over your faith. Whether it’s financial struggle, delayed promises, a health scare, or unanswered prayers, your reality can feed your doubt if you don’t choose to feed your faith.

Take Abraham and Sarah. Their physical reality (they were old) and their temporal reality (God had delayed His promise) made it hard to trust. But God didn’t stop reminding Abraham of His promise; He kept feeding Abraham’s faith with His Word.

πŸ“– Hebrews 10:23 – β€œLet us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful.”

Feeding Faith Means Meditating on Truth

The noise of discouragement is real. That’s why God gave Joshua this strategy:

πŸ“– Joshua 1:8 – β€œKeep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night…”

Meditation on God’s Word is your weapon against despair. Philippians 4:8 gives you a filter: whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable; think on these things.

Even Jesus, when tempted in the wilderness, didn’t rely on feelings. He relied on the Word.
πŸ“– Matthew 4:4 – β€œMan shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.”

Faith Begins in the Mind and Shows in Action

Faith starts as knowledge, what you know about God. Then it becomes a belief, what you trust about God. And finally, it shows up in your actions, what you do because of God.

James tells us that faith without works is dead (James 2:17). But we can’t act on what we do not know. That’s why we must renew our minds (Romans 12:2) and rehearse truth daily.

πŸ“– Habakkuk 2:3 – β€œThough it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.”

Reflection
  • Are you currently feeding your faith or your fears?

  • What reality in your life is trying to silence God’s promises?

Prayer

Lord, help me hold tightly to Your Word when life seems loud and unclear. Teach me to rehearse Your truth, meditate day and night, and act on what I know, not just what I feel. Amen.
