Prayer for Peace of Mind is a response to the lack of peace of mind that we experience as a result of life’s difficulties. These diverse difficulties cause you and me to be anxious. And anxiety, because it has to do with uncertainty about the future, robs you of peace of mind.
However, I have successfully battled anxiety many times. And I have done this through prayers based on Philippians 4:5-9.
Therefore, this is is a Bible passage that will show you that God is able to give you peace of mind in the midst of any difficulty. Therefore, in as much as difficulties are part of life, it is God’s will for you to enjoy peace of mind at all times.
”5 Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; 6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. 9 What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.
Philippians 4:5-9English Standard Version (ESV)

The Prayer for Peace of Mind
Therefore, drawn from Philippians 4:5-9 is a guide on how you can pray and get to experience peace of mind during difficult times. That’s why Paul highlights the need for you and me to be reasonable (calm). A state that is based on the fact that God is always with you in all situations, difficult ones included.
God has already promised us His permanent presence (Deuteronomy 31:6). And He will grant His followers His presence till the end of the world (Matthew 28:20). This is the basis of the prayer for peace of mind.
Prayer is simply a request made to God. That’s why the prayer for peace of mind is directed to Him. He is able to handle all your worries that cause your anxiety.
So, when you encounter difficulties, let God know about them. Also, let Him know how He can be of help. And don’t forget to include thanksgiving.
This is how you will receive God’s perfect peace in your time of need.
