”Sing the praises of the Lord, enthroned in Zion; proclaim among the nations what he has done.
Psalm 9:11New International Version (NIV)
Psalm 9:11 ~ Sing the praises of the Lord
Sing the praises of the Lord (Psalm 9:11) by proclaiming His deeds among the nations. We know God’s victories, therefore, we should be able to celebrate the same.
Jesus’ victory on the cross is one particular victory that we should never fail to celebrate. It is always a call for you and me to praise God because of what he has done to save the world (Psalm 98:4). He died and rose to save the world.
Thanking God for blessing you in the other secondary ways is a simple way in which you can celebrate God’s victory. That is why after concentrating on God’s righteousness, the Psalmist exhorts us to “sing the praises of the Lord”.
Therefore, his perception of God’s righteousness made him praise God. And our understanding of God’s righteousness should motivate us to praise Him. And as we praise God, people will definitely get to know about God.
Has God done something for you? Have you or your loved ones ever been granted the desires of your heart? If so, what did you do?
Too many of us are naive enough to think that we achieved our victory by our own strength. But not the Psalmist.
When God fights your battles, He completely destroys your enemies. He will not allow evil to have the ultimate victory.
So the only reasonable response is to raise a victory shout to the King of Kings. We serve a God of grace. One who loves you so much to ensure that you experience victory in your life.
Prayer/Blessing
Thank you, Lord, for the victory I have in Christ! May I continually walk in victory and live in victory, to the glory and honour of your Name. Amen.
May you praise God! For His righteousness is your stronghold. Amen.
