“Some have entertained angels unawares”
alludes the New Testament writer of Hebrews. And so, in these days when owning a car has become a necessity, a young man entered a car dealership and sat at the table at the reception. A saleslady came to attend to him.
“How much is an X7?”
“5 million,” replied the saleslady.
The man pulled his phone out of his pocket and made a call with it.
“How much is an X5?” he inquired. Some elderly people were now waiting for to be shown some X7s and the saleslady was a bit impatient because she needed to focus on the clients who could pay – the much needed commission would help to clear her son’s hospital bill.
“3.5 million,” she said brusquely.
The man again made a call. “I’ll have the Fortuner,” he said.
The saleslady brought the sales documents, put them on the table and walked away. The man finished completing them, put them on the table and departed.
When the saleslady came back, she began picking the documents from the table and then swallowed hard at what she saw.
There, placed neatly inside the documents,
was an envelope containing a cheque of 3.5 million and 35 thousand – her tip. In tears, the lady called the man to apologise for her lackluster service and to thank him for his generous tip which helped her offset her son’s hospital bill.
