”Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labour in the Lord is not in vain.

Stand Firm
In 1 Corinthians 15:58, Paul implored the Corinthian church to believe what he had taught them about the future resurrection of Christians. Therefore, they had a strong reason to remain fixed in God and His Word in spite of the hardships and danger the same brought. That is, they had a strong motivation for living a truly Christian life.
In addition, Paul taught them that the resurrection, and its surety, was the ground for fully laboring in and for the Lord. It is only in the Lord, and no one or nothing else, that their labor would not be in vain. They had the sure reward of eternal life for their effort.
Therefore, Christ’s resurrection secured the future resurrection of his people, you and I included. We should have hope and confidence and surety that our bodies will experience redemption.
Consequently, we should (continue to) make use of all available opportunities to evangelize (spread the gospel) to those around us. Do not worry about the number of souls you win. Focus on spreading the good news, for salvation and conviction to the same is the preserve of the Lord.
Prayer
Father, I fully submit to you that you may use me more to accomplish your divine purposes on earth. Amen.
Prayer to Receive and Believe in Jesus Christ
Father, I want to have the surety of your resurrection and experience fruitful labor. Therefore, I confess that I am a sinner who is separated from you. I am truly sorry and would like to turn away from my sinful past to you. Please forgive me of my sins and keep me away from temptation and sin.
I believe Your only Son, Jesus Christ, died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, and is alive. I invite you Jesus to come into my life and become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please send your Holy Spirit to help me obey you and do your will for the rest of my life. In Jesus’ Name, I pray, Amen.
