”"Praise be to the LORD, who has given rest to his people Israel just as he promised. Not one word has failed of all the good promises he gave through his servant Moses.

The Lord’s Promises Never Fail
1 Kings 8:56 states that the Lord’s promises never fail because He is keen on fulfilling every word of every promise. Note that, He is aware of every hair on your head (Luke 12:7 and Matthew 10:30). That’s how detailed He is. And the reason why His promises never fail.
A case before us is the many good promises God gave to the Israelites through Moses. And God did not break any of them. He gave them rest.
Another case is King Solomon. This was exactly what happened to him. For the king, David greatly desired to build a temple for God. But God promised him that his son Solomon would do it (2 Samuel 7:4-13 and 1 Kings 8:12-21). Thus, King Solomon’s discussion of how God fulfilled his promises to David and the people of Israel.
Even today, this far, He has not broken any one of His promises. And one such precious example of a settled promise is the promise of salvation (Psalm 119:89 and Isaiah 40:8; Romans 10:13 and 2 Corinthians 12:9). This should be enough proof to you that God never fails.
Therefore, He will not fail in the many promises He has made concerning us. Some of them will come to pass quickly. Others will stretch over long periods.
Regardless, God’s timing is perfect. Both His short-term and long-term promises serve the purpose of building and renewing the confidence of His people, especially when they’ve hit rock bottom.
Prayer
Lord God, I worship you whose word and promises never fail. I choose to trust in only your promises, so help my trust, Lord. In Jesus’ Name, I pray, Amen.
