”When Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the two tablets of the covenant law in his hands, he was not aware that his face was radiant because he had spoken with the LORD.

Spoken with the Lord
Exodus 34:29 says that after Moses had spoken with the Lord on Mount Sinai for 40 days, he wasn’t aware that his face had become radiant. It was only after he had come down the mountain, into the public comprising Israel, that he discovered his face had become radiant.
Communion with God will definitely leave an imprint on you. Spending time with the Lord through prayer, worship, and study of the Bible will show. An encounter with God changes you from the inside and shows on the outside.
Therefore, Moses’ radiance was a testimony of his communion with God. His encounter with God had changed him.
In 2 Corinthians 3:7-11, Paul wrote that the glory that Moses reflected accompanied the giving of the Law, which was God’s covenant with his chosen people Israel. But we as Christians share in the glory of God’s grace which brings forgiveness and righteousness. And the glory we share, Paul revealed is surpassing, excelling, tremendously greater.
Therefore, the former glory is completely eclipsed by the glory we have encountered. We share in the victory of the Cross and in the resurrection life of Christ. Moreso, we have God who is Spirit living inside us.
This means that time spent with the Lord facilitates His glory to rub off on you and it is visible to those around you. For you, this is courtesy of the Holy Spirit’s ministry of righteousness which is more glorious than Moses’. Even more, it is an everlasting ministry in which you are continuously turned into the image of Christ with ever-increasing glory (2 Corinthians 3:7-18).
Prayer/Blessing
May you purpose to have spoken moments with God. Amen.
