Ephesians 3:20 ~
God is able
Ephesians 3:20 clearly states that God is able. But this is not an ordinary ability.
Moreso, the verse expounds on this ability by stating that God is able “to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us”. Therefore, God has the power to do for us things that are well beyond our prayer items and imaginations.
After all, God created everything. And when His representatives, Adam and Eve sinned, thus distorting His original plan, He set off a plan to redeem and restore humankind (Genesis 3).
Consequently, when He called Abraham, He promised to bless all families on earth through him (Genesis 12:1-3). That’s why Paul told the Philippians that the mystery of Christ was that Gentiles are co-heirs with Israel, one body with them, and sharers in the promise of Jesus.
Therefore, Paul prayed for God to strengthen them in their inner beings so that Christ could dwell in their hearts through faith (Ephesians 3:16-17). He knew that God could do it for them. What seemed impossible to them, was very possible to God.
Additionally, Paul also prayed that they may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God (Ephesians 3:17-19). And again, Paul knew that God could do it for them because He is more than able.
God enabled Sarah to have a child
Earlier in history, God enabled Sarah to have a child in her old age. God performed this miracle by enabling Sarah, a ninety-year-old, to have a child.
God led the Israelites through various obstacles and challenges
The Bible book of Exodus records that God created a passage for the Israelites in the Red. He also provided water and food for His people to drink for the forty years that they were in the wilderness of Sinai. And He performed many more miracles for His people as He led His people to the land He had promised their forefathers.
Therefore, don’t be tempted to think that God is unable, especially when whatever you are surrendering to or asking of Him seems BIG. He is able to go beyond what you surrender to or ask of Him.
His power is at work in us
Finally, Paul reveals that the almighty, all-powerful, miracle-performing God lives in you (if you have accepted Him into your life). More, His wonder-working power is at work in us, which means that God’s deeds in your life are proportional to (as big as) His power that is at work in us.
Therefore, God is able to do beyond what you ask of Him. After all, He is God.
So, begin to enlarge your expectation. Do not limit yourself. No matter what you demand according to his will, He can meet your needs beyond your asking.

Lord, You are able and powerful in all situations. I worship and exalt You in Jesus Christ’s Name, Amen.

May you believe that God is able to do, and not only do but do more than you’ll ask or imagine. Amen.
