He lives to intercede for us
Hebrews 7:25 states that Jesus lives to intercede for us. He, therefore, lives to intercede for you and for me. That is why He is presented as sitting at the right hand of God, interceding for believers before His second coming (Romans 8:34).
He does this because He is able to save completely those who come to God through Him. That is, He is able to totally save us from our sins. This is because Jesus’ ministry as High Priest is the effective means of salvation. No one can expect a right relationship with God without Jesus.
Consequently, He lives to intercede for you and for me. He is our Advocate before God. But Satan is always seeking to accuse and harm God’s people.
Prayer
Lord, You are an able Saviour, therefore, our Priest and Intercessor. Thank You for Your Intercession Ministry. My life and salvation are in Your hands. And this is my prayer in Jesus Christ’s Name, Amen.
Prayer to Receive and Believe in Jesus Christ
Lord Jesus, I thank You for Your intercession ministry. Therefore, I confess that I am a sinner who is separated from you. That’s why I am truly sorry and would like to turn away from my sinful past to you.
Please forgive me of my sins and keep me away from temptation and sin. I believe that your only Son, Jesus Christ, died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, and is alive.
Therefore, I invite you, Jesus, to come into my life and become the Lord of my life. I want you to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward.
Please send your Holy Spirit to help me obey you, and to do your will for the rest of my life. In Jesus’ Name, I pray, Amen.
