”He sent out his word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave.

God’s Word Heals
Psalm 107:20 declares that “When God sent His Word, it healed them. In other words, the fallen (sinful) Israelites were healed by God’s word.
Therefore, in today’s devotion, we explore the healing and deliverance that we need and find in God’s Word. In this beautiful verse, we see the reality of supernatural healing and deliverance. Healing and deliverance come from God only.
When Jesus walked this earth, He spoke and people were physically healed. One time He touched a blind man’s eyes and the man received his sight back.
Even today, healing is still a great need for so many of us. We may have emotional, physical, spiritual, and relational issues waiting for the Great Physician to intervene. And this is precisely what God’s word brings, healing and deliverance to you (Isaiah 55:11).
God’s word is where His power is contained (Jeremiah 23:29 and Hebrews 4:12-13). Consequently, God’s Word has the power to heal our eternal souls.
Therefore, God’s Word will heal whatever is hurting and destroying your soul. But you must first receive it.
This is why Proverbs 4 reminds us to attend to God’s word. We are therefore to incline our ears and minds to His sayings. They are not to depart from our hearing, sight, and mind. For we are to keep them in the midst of our hearts, for they are life to those who find them and healing to all our flesh.
Therefore, you have to let God’s Word penetrate your heart, meditate on it, hear it, read it, study it, and memorize it. This is when it will begin to fix whatever is broken in you.
So, no matter what circumstance you may be facing, there is a word that holds your healing and deliverance. Meaning that you need to take the time to find the word of your healing and deliverance. Thereafter, you need to receive it and integrate (possess or claim) it.
Prayer/Blessing
May God’s word bring healing to you today. Amen.
