Set Free from Death
In Romans 8:2, the apostle Paul mentions two laws (or principles). That is the law of the Spirit of life and the law of sin and death.
The law of the Spirit of life refers to the law of the Holy Spirit, while the law of sin and death refers to our state of judgment and death.
Thus, Paul states that Jesus Christ set you and me free from the law of sin and death (Romans 6:23 and John 8:36). Jesus did this by shedding His precious blood on the cross for you and me (1 Corinthians 15:57).
Consequently, the freedom of Christ is not only freedom from death as the major consequence of sin, but it is also freedom from another consequence, the guilt of sin (Ephesians 1:7). Therefore, you become blameless (free from guilt) before God through and in Jesus Christ. No accusation can be brought against you.

Lord, I thank you for the total freedom I enjoy in Christ. I thank you in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Prayer to Receive and Believe in Jesus Christ
Lord God, I want to enjoy the freedom that is Jesus Christ. I, therefore, confess that I am a sinner who is separated from you. And I am truly sorry and would like to turn away from my sinful past to you.
Please forgive me of my sins and keep me away from temptation and sin. I believe that your only Son, Jesus Christ, died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, and is alive. And I invite you Jesus to come into my life and become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward.
I pray that You send Your Holy Spirit to help me obey You and to do Your will for the rest of my life. In Jesus’ Name, I pray, Amen.
