”He replied, "If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, 'Be uprooted and planted in the sea,' and it will obey you.

If you have Faith …
In Luke 17:6, Jesus taught that “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you“. And I highly suspect you’ve heard “If you only had more faith you would have gotten well” or “succeeded”.
Consequently, you may have wondered if the reason God was not answering your prayer was that you did not have enough faith. And to make matters worse, Jesus said to the woman from Tyre and Sidon, “I have not seen such great a faith.”
It’s not about the quantity
But in Luke chapter 17 verse 6, Jesus said that “faith like that of a mustard seed” was all that was needed. And from a careful reading of the Bible, the quantity of faith (great or little) is not what matters. All that matters is having or possessing faith.
Therefore, the size of our faith, then, is not the focus. It is the “size” of God’s power accompanying your faith that is the focus. Because genuine faith manifests in a powerful and effective outcome. And this is the point that Jesus was making. That they already had faith (which comes by hearing as revealed in Romans 10:17). For God is the origin and end of our faith (Hebrews 12:2).
It, therefore, goes without saying that faith is therefore very vital to the Christian life. That’s why what you consider as your mustard seed-size faith can accomplish the impossible.
For as far as God is concerned, “small” faith is sufficient. What you consider little faith can uproot the strongholds of stagnation and unforgiveness.
Therefore, the size of your faith does not count. What counts and matters is the object of your faith, who is God. For it is God that will do the uprooting.
If your faith was the one doing the uprooting, then the bigger the trees would require more faith to uproot. And this is not the truth of what constitutes biblical faith.
Prayer/Blessing
May the source of your greater works be by the power of God. Amen.
