”He is the Rock, his works are perfect, and all his ways are just. A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is he.
Deuteronomy 32:4New International Version (NIV)
Deuteronomy 32:4 Devotion
God is your Rock
God is your Rock, just as Deuteronomy 32:4 declares. For He symbolizes firmness, stability, and faithfulness in His perfect works and just ways. These are the attributes that the Psalmist portrays in his imagery of God as a Rock.
Naturally too, any rock is usually firm and steady against waves or storms. Therefore, no matter how water will rage and splash against it, it will still remain after the same has abated.
There is also the reality that God doesn’t change. While seasons and times of life change, He does not change. He remains the same. God remains perfect, faithful, and just.
He is therefore dependable. You can place your prosperity, hope, future, and burdens on Him. He will not let you down.
God is your Rock. He is the firm and secure foundation on whom you can build your life. When the waves or storms of life will come in their various forms and go, you will remain.
Prayer/Blessing
Lord God, I thank you for being firm, stable, and faithful in your works and ways in my life. I thank you for being with me and making me weather every storm and remain standing.
Therefore, I praise you for Who You are. I ascribe greatness to you O God. You are the Rock, my Rock, my firm foundation.
Father in heaven, Your work is perfect. I praise you for your perfect work in what would have been my imperfect life.
Just You are. I, therefore, praise You for all your ways are just.
Indeed you are my Rock! I choose to place my prosperity, hope, future, and burdens on you. Amen.
